Mr. Byrnes works with the faculty and staff in the departments of Art, Music, and Theater Arts and Dance, as well as the MFA in Arts Administration to promote, and strengthen the College and its programs. In addition, he has oversight of the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, the American Folk Ballet and works with the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. He teaches in the graduate program at SUU and lectures internationally on arts and culture management. Mr. Byrnes has worked for more than 30 years in all aspects of producing theatre, dance, and opera. He has done numerous workshops on leadership, planning, project management, budgeting, and employee relations. He is a past president of the United States Institute for Theatre technology.
