Publisher Comments:

This phenomenal national bestseller has received extraordinary reviews and avid national media attention. Novelist Villasenor tells the true-life saga of one family's journey from the days of Pancho Villa in war-ravaged Mexico to the Prohibition era in California.

Review:

"A grand and vivid history... the characters are keenly drawn... often I felt like a family member watching from a corner stool." — The New York Times Book Review

This book is a life changing experience...I grew from the knowledge i gained through the characters and i am who i am due to what lupe has taught me. Also salvador is the every women dreams of and well i could not stop thinking of either of them once i finished the novel.I ran to the library and pickED up THIRTEEN SENSES,AND I FINISHED IT TOO;now i am going to begin reading Wild steps of heaven. THANK YOU LUPE,SALVADOR AND VICTOR who are amazing and i grew to love your parents through these novels.
