Tureks Orthopaedics 5TH Edition Principles & The Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Book News Annotation:

**** A revised edition of Orthopaedics; principles and their application, 4th ed., 1984 (which is cited in Brandon-Hill). A classic textbook that provides a concise, current presentation of pediatric and adult musculoskeletal disorders. This edition retains the broad approach to orthopaedics, but musculoskeletal trauma and the details of surgical techniques have been eliminated. The book has been shortened to one volume and revised to reflect current knowledge and practice. It now includes a detailed section on imaging of the musculoskeletal systems. The eight basic science chapters have been updated and condensed, and the chapters on peripheral vascular disease, skin grafting, and amputation have been deleted. Each chapter includes a concise annotated bibliography.
