The 25th Annual Report continues the tradition of previous volumes of providing comparable therapeutic statistics on cancers of the female genital tract for the evaluation of different treatment methods. The Annual Report uniquely collects data from many different countries in all continents. With a 46% increase in Collection Centres since the last Report in 2000, the consequent increase and homogeneity of patient data has allowed for improved statistical analysis and reliability of results. The Report is split into 3 areas: (1) the background to the Annual Report, the staging classification and process, and the methodology employed to collect and analyse the data; (2) results for each of the gynaecological cancers - vagina, cervix uteri, corpus uteri, fallopian tube, ovary, and gestational trophoblastic disease; and (3) reviews of cancer control in women, patient care, and future directions. Tables and graphs of the data in the Annual Report are also provided on CD-Rom.
