A Walk to Remember is another masterpiece by Nicholas Sparks. A Walk to Remember takes place in 1958 in Beaufort, North Carolina during Landon Carter’s senior year of high school. Landon gets voted class president and has to find a date for homecoming. He then asks Jamie Sullivan, the minister Hegbert’s daughter, who he sould never see himself with. She said yes which surprised everyone. But what shocked them even more was that they ended up falling in love. A Walk to Remember will make you laugh at times and cry at others, just like true love. It is a story that you would never forget and people will be reading forever. Sparks definitly accomplished his goals of showing readers that young love can be everlasting, treasure can be found in unexpected places, and that, “...miracles do happen,” a golden moment in the novel. I would recommend A Walk to Remember to anyone who would want to read a powerful yet tragic love story.
