I received this book when i was 10 years old (i'm 47 now). I still have it for use in drawing horses.

I'm about to buy a copy for a 9 year old girl's b.day present.

For a young horse lover, it's incredibly informative as to origin of breed(s). Most breeds are showcased by short stories designed to entertain and inform.
