This is a very touching story that ties in both religious and traditional Christmas. Santa falls asleep under a tree. All of the forest animals come to see this. He awakes and tells his favorite story of Christmas. I first purchased this book for my daughter back in the 80's. It was one of her favorites. She kept it. I am now wrapping one for her children as a gift for Christmas. I have kept the original copy to read to my grandchildren every year at Christmas.
