Dr. Rozakis has written more than 100 books, many of which have been translated into several languages, including Portuguese, Romanian, Arabic, and Chinese. Her vocabulary books include Vocabulary for Dummies, Everyday Vocabulary, and Peterson's Words for Smart Test Takers. She frequently appears on television programs, including Live with Regis and Kelly; The CBS Morning Show; the Maury Povich Show; Fox's Good Day, New York; and Fox's Personal F/X. She served as the “Vocabulary Judge” in the Word of the Day final contest on ABC TVs Live! With Regis and Kelly as an author of numerous vocabulary books. Dr. Rozakis earned her Ph.D. in English and American Literature from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is currently a full professor of English at Farmingdale State College.
