This tutorial CD-ROM is the first in a series of two programs designed to teach users how to effectively manage patient pain in the hospital setting. Based on content from Margo McCaffery's video tape series McCaffery on Pain and McCaffery: Contemporary Issues in Pain Management. Pain Management I is a fully interactive CD-ROM that presents nurses with strategy for use in assessment of a patient's pain level, while providing a thorough overview of the analgesic groups used to manage pain. This exciting new multimedia program utilizes realistic graphics, video sequences and engaging learning activities. Continuing education credits are available through completion of a comprehensive exam provided in the program.
