More than 20 countries from five continents were represented at the December 1993 conference, from which four proceedings volumes arise, focusing, respectively, on surface water hydrology, subsurface water hydrology, water quality, and water resources planning and management. Papers are in sections on: (v.1)--hydrologic processes, measurements, dynamics of overland flow, flood frequency analysis; (v.2)--unsaturated flow, seepage and drainage, aquifer response, groundwater recharge and resource evaluation; (v.3)--chemical transport, solute transport, water quality modeling; and (v.4)--remote sensing in water resources investigations, water-resource system operation and management, hydraulic hazards, and environmental consequences of water resources projects. Each section includes an invited state-of-the-art paper and several contributed papers. The volumes are not indexed.
