Teaching Cases from Annals of Oncology

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

The clinical cases collected in this book have all been previously published in the Clinical Case series in the journal ANNALS of ONCOLOGY, from April 1993 to April 1996. They are intended as an educational series, aiming to discuss aspects of current cancer management, to highlight good practice and areas of controversy and to indicate where knowledge is lacking and where new ideas are leading. As many positive comments were received on the series, the clinical cases deserve a separate publication. The cases are grouped by organ system.

Book News Annotation:

Reprints and updates when necessary, 32 articles from the Clinical Case series of the journal Annals of Oncology during its first three years of publication, April 1993 to April 1996. They were selected to reflect different opinions in the European countries and a wide range of clinical diagnosis and diagnostic problems and treatment decisions. In addition to cancer of the ovary, breast, lung cancer, gastrointestinal system, head and neck, and bladder, they cover general oncology, lymphoma, germ cell tumors, and sarcoma. Highly illustrated in black and white. For practicing and student oncologists.
