Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook, the lost boys, and Tinker Bell have filled the hearts of children ever since Barrie's play first opened in London in 1904 and became an immediate sensation. Now this funny, haunting modern myth is presented with Bedford's wonderful illustrations, which first appeared in the author's own day, have long been out of print, and have never been equaled.

From the Hardcover edition.

Synopsis:

Adapted from Barrie's 1904 play, this novelized version of the classic tale--a reproduction of the 1911 American edition--features twelve original black-and-white illustrations by F.D. Bedford, and a reading group guide.

i'm 13 years old and read this book 5 times, and each time I had the same feeling like excitment and at some points sadness. the author did a good job on characterization and tone of the book. I LOVED it. i would advise those who had not read it yet, well, to find this amazing book and buy or order it, then go to some quiet place and read it. i know you'll love!!!
