A Journey of Faith helps congregations plan, carry out, and follow up on a Lay Witness Mission--a ministry in 3 phases: preparation, Witness weekend, and continuation. The Handbook includes checklists, reproducible worksheets, and a 4-session Bible study for the preparation phase. Order 6-8 months prior to the Mission weekend. LAY WITNESS MISSION/JOURNEY OF FAITH The Lay Witness Mission is a team of lay people who come to your church at their own expense to share how their relationship with God through Jesus Christ helps them live out their lives. Forty percent of adults in the U.S. have no church memory. A Journey of Faith encourages persons to invite others who are not actively involved in a church family to participate in small groups and fellowship meals. A Journey of Faith helps people identify their own story and invites them to begin to share that story. The Journey of Faith/Lay Witness Mission requires 6-8 months of preparation and 4 weeks of study and prayer prior to the Mission Weekend.
