Publisher Comments:

Charred Souls..... is a story of recreationa child abuse. It's about seven beautiful babies who seemed to have been bred for the sole purpose of being used as game pieces for twisted, sadistic and degradign games. The verbal abuse they endured was just as crippling emotionally as the physical abuse was painful. This book is a testimony of abusive acts and words which people should never do or say to children. The language is raw, ugly and harsh, just as it was screamed at the children until they became old enough to escape the madness. It explains why, in the short period of the first seven years of her life, the oldest child (me) came to believe that she was hideous, lazy and stupid. This book will make you think before you speak to children.

Wow, what can I say, this book was well written and it told a very painful story that really needed to be told. I came across it because I am in the prosess of writing a simular story myself and was doing some research. I received the book in the mail and began reading it. I didn't put it down until I finished it. I drew a few conclusions... all sadistic people know the same basic torturous "games". There must be a school or something that teaches them these cold hearted skills. I could relate to so many things Trena said and experienced then and is experiencing now. It was both frightening and comforting that Trena was able to go on and escape to some degree. For anyone who has had an abusive past, I recommend this book. Best wishes to Trena and her siblings.
