About the Author

Carol Treadwell was born in Oakland, California. Her higher education was conducted at the University of California at Berkeley and the California Institute of the Arts. Important mentors for her include Paula Gunn Allen, Jon Wagner, Benjamin Weissman and her sister, the poet Elizabeth Treadwell. Her first novel, Spots and Trouble Spots, was published in October 2004 by Seismicity Editions (an imprint of Otis College of Art and Design). She is the mother of two young children, a girl and a boy.
