Holly Creek Christian Church has a caring pastor and a growing congregation. They have outgrown their sanctuary, and a generous gift of land from a member has made it possible for them to build a new church. But someone is going to extraordinary lengths to prevent them from building--with dire and deadly results! The police get off to a slow start on seeing connections between events, so Pastor Thomas Wilson reluctantly becomes a detective. When he does, both he and his wife end up as targets of a man who will kill to get the results he wants.
