Berkeley, CA: Ellis A. Davis, 1909. Folio, 30 x 37.5 cm, 190pp. 1st edition. Original red cloth decorated in silver; red edges; no dust jacket. Includes black-and-white photographic illustrations and numerous maps in full color; large folding map attached at rear. Cloth is edgeworn and soiled, but the silver remains bright; no lettering on the spine. Spine shaken; rear hinge partially split starting at the tail. Pages are lightly toned with occasional soiling; a tear to the lower edge of p. 69. Map at rear is creased, with some wear and tearing at the corners where folded; has also been partially torn away from the rear paste-down. Good condition. MP/djm
