New York: Augustus M. Kelley 1969. Elephant folio 54 x 39 cm. 58pp maps & plates. First edition thus a reprint of the 1843 first edition. Original quarter black cloth grey cloth over boards spine gilt. In the original paper dust jacket protected with an overlying clear acetate jacket. Frontispiece and numerous engraved plates plus 2 maps and a diagram. Light wear at the corners and spine ends. Paper jacket lightly rubbed soiled and edgeworn with a small abrasion on the rear panel and a couple closed tears. Acetate jacket with a couple closed tears. Near fine/Good. beh (oversize north)
