Using simple language that beginning readers can understand, this lively, inspiring, and believable biography looks at the childhood of the man who grew up to become an integral part of the American colonies' fight for freedom.

My third grade son just read this book. It is a wonderful book that can stretch a child's reading skills without overwhelming them. This book is full of great historical information. It is also really entertaining. My son closed this book feeling confident in his reading skills.
