How to Be Popular Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Do you want to be popular?

Everyone wants to be popular—or at least, Stephanie Landry does. Steph's been the least popular girl in her class since a certain cherry Super Big Gulp catastrophe five years earlier.

Does being popular matter?

It matters very much—to Steph. That's why this year, she has a plan to get in with the It Crowd in no time flat. She's got a secret weapon: an old book called—what else?—How to Be Popular.

What does it take to be popular?

All Steph has to do is follow the instructions in The Book, and soon she'll be partying with the It Crowd (including school quarterback Mark Finley) instead of sitting on The Hill Saturday nights, stargazing with her nerdy best pal Becca, and even nerdier Jason (now kind of hot, but still), whose passion for astronomy Steph once shared.

Who needs red dwarves when you're invited to the hottest parties in town?

But don't forget the most important thing about popularity!

It's easy to become popular. What isn't so easy? Staying that way.

Synopsis:

Steph Landry may just be the most unpopular girl in her high school until she discovers the book that will change her life, How to Be Popular. It turns out the book works! That is, unless you break its cardinal rule, not to lose your old friends, even when you have new ones!

Another high-concept stand alone from #1 Natinal Best-Selling author of the Princess Diaries and All-American Girl, Meg Cabot's How to be Popular is a surefire hit.Steph Landry may just be the most unpopular girl in her high school until she discovers the book that will change her life, How to Be Popular. Synopsis:

Cara has always dreamed of being a Populazzi, one of the popular crowd. But its not until she changes schools that she gets a shot at it, thanks to her best friend Claudias crazy plan. The idea is simple: The rungs of The Ladder are relationships. First get a boyfriend who's ranked low, then climb up through more boyfriends until you're not just one of the Populazzi, but the Supreme Populazzi. Yet what starts off as a fairy tale turns into a somewhat dark comedy of errors. Just when Cara reaches the top, her life hits rock bottom. She wonders why she wanted to be popular in the first placeand if theres any way to live happily ever after now.
