Review:

"Reality star turned fashion designer and author, Conrad (the L.A. Candy series) offers a top-to-bottom guide to personal style for readers who don't have stylists (Conrad dedicates the book to her team). She goes over wardrobe essentials ('If my devotion to black platform heels isn't already clear, let me confirm it here'), makeup tips, suggestions for working with different types of hair, and advice on how to dress for various occasions. Her voice is consistently entertaining, confident, and accessible, and her advice is practical--these are suggestions that work whether one is shopping for Chanel or secondhand gems. Set against plain white backgrounds, copious photographs of Conrad--and more than a few of her favorite things--give the book the feel of a palette from which readers can select what best suits their style. Ages 12 — up. (Oct.)" Publishers Weekly (Copyright PWyxz LLC)
