About the Author
Heidi Thomas is an award-winning and multiple BAFTA- and Emmy-nominated screenwriter, producer, and playwright. In addition to Call the Midwife, her television work includes the period dramas Cranford and Upstairs, Downstairs. Heidi has influenced British TV for several years, and her shows regularly achieve record-breaking audiences. She lives in Saffron Walden, Essex, with her husband and son.
