I noticed my students were not performing as well as I had hoped on the reading comprehension portion of the National Spanish Exam. I chose to use Easy Spanish Reader in the classroom and let the students work at their own pace. The results were outstanding. Students performed at a much higher level and have improved their writing skills also. I recommend this book to Beginning and intermediate Spanish teachers as well as anyone interested in learning Spanish. I teach grades 5-8 but the book is definitely appropriate for high school also.
