Down on her luck rare book specialist Lori Shepard is contacted by lawyers, who inform her she has just inherited a set of letters written by her deceased mother to a special friend. In the correspondence Lori discovers a new side of her mother, and comes away changed herself.
A fast and charming read mixing mystery, romance, and whimsical fantasy. Readers looking for hardbitten mysteries should steer clear. Very believable and enjoyable characters, and wonderful development in the course of the story.
