Every inhabitant of the North American continent, especially of European ancestry, should read this book. And most definitely if your idea of immigration is "build a wall" to keep 'them' out or if your base knowledge of Latin Americans is a disconnected, dehumanized bogeyman of fear and misunderstanding. The history of the Latin American peoples, the history of U.S. interventionism and involvement in Latin American countries, and the models of migration....are well worth the few dollars for this book. This book was revolutionary for me and I hope it is for you too.

Teachers of America need to teach about the true history of our country and about how hard our elders/ancestors worked to make things right, to succeed as a race as a people. If it not taught in the schools then parents should take the initiative and pick up where others left off. We cannot forget, we cannot give up the fight. I have taken the time to research and find books that teach of true history and civil rights to arm my daughter with knowledge, with power. This is the only way we shall over come.
