This book is the best realistic book I've ever read. The book really makes you think about what went on back then and it really makes you appriciate life now. After reading Roll of Thunder, I've been less...judgemental about people. It's a wonderful book and everyone should read it.

This is a very interesting book about three kids and their situations that they over come. The novel shows the rewards of black pride, love, effectionate, and independence. By:Roseatta Bolwing

This is a fab book, it really gives a new perspective into black history. Mildred Taylor made a good choice portraying the book through the eyes of a child.
