“Black And White”
By: Paul Volponi

The book “Black And White” is a realistic fiction novel. The setting takes place in Long Island City High School. The main characters are “Black and White” also known as Marcus and Eddie. The plot is Marcus and Eddie got into a lot of crime and trouble.
The writer is trying to accomplish the friendship and where it can lead. The tone that the author is trying to teach kids to stay out of trouble and don’t do mischievous work. The theme of this book is not to do violence or get in bad trouble.
“Its like if somebody did that to your mother”. This quote is saying “What if some killer robed your mothers purse so she had no money and no credit cards”. Another quote is “Do you think he’s dead?” Marcus and Eddie robed a man in his car and then Eddie shot him and then Eddie shot him and they ran off. They never saw if he died or stayed alive.
I liked this book a lot because it is very entertaining and filled with action. What I didn’t like about my book was that it doesn’t tell you were they live and what state they live in. I think this book will be very popular and might be a movie someday. I think the author accomplishes his goal by creating an exciting popular book. I would recommend this book to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders because there is some fowl language and a lot of violence.
