Enola Holmes is Sherlock's equally smart, much more socially competent, much younger sister. Unlike Sherlock, Enola uses her intuition and instincts, as well as logic, to try and solve the most desperate mystery of all - Why did her mother disappear on her 14th birthday? Enola creates clever disguises to run away to London to find her mother and elude her brothers who are trying to stop her. Once in London, she gets involved in a mystery worthy of the Holmes legacy. The Case of the Missing Marquess is a perfect choice for reluctant readers and mystery lovers. There are clues scattered throughout the story that an observant reader will pick up on before Enola does. The short novel is action packed and the historical details of Victorian London are interesting and accurate. Middle grade readers will fly through The Case Of the Missing Marquess and immediately run to check out book 2 in the series.
