Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

One should be able to say of a princess “She was as good as she was beautiful,” according to The Art of Being a Princess (third revised edition), which the almost-thirteen-year-old Princess Imogene is supposed to be reading. Not feeling particularly good, or all that beautiful, she heads for a nearby pond, where, unfortunately, a talking frog tricks her into kissing him. No prince appears, as one might expect. Instead, the princess turns into a frog herself! Thus launches a funny, wonderfully spun fractured fairy tale in which Imogene wonders if she will be forever frogified.

Synopsis:

Since Queen Olympia's fateful fall into the river, newlyweds Christian and Marigold have been living happily ever after. And they had every intention of keeping it that way--until they find out that Olympia may not be as gone as they thought. Turns out Olympia is alive and well in a faraway village, having lost her memory after her ill-timed tumble. But one day she awakes and remembers her previous glory as queen. Accompanied by Lazy Susan (Sleeping Beauty's slacker sister) and Stan Lucasa (a gentleman with a surprising destiny), Olympia returns, determined to take back the kingdom. Yet, thanks to a cast of familiar characters, grabbing the throne may not be as easy as Olympia thinks!

Synopsis:

Full of zany humor, this sequel to "Once Upon a Marigold" continues the story of Christian and Marigold, who are living happily ever after now that Queen Olympia has gone--or has she?

Synopsis:

From Edgar Award-winning author Vivian Vande Velde comes a fresh and funny twist on the fairy tale "The Princess and the Frog" in which a princess gets turned into a frog herself!

Although not as good as the first book it was fun to revisit the characters created in the first book. It was still sweet and funny!
