Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Written a few years following Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic, "The Night Flight" is as applicable now as it was when it was first published in 1932, exploring the reasons why individuals choose to take risks, focusing especially on the courage of pilots. Preface by Andre Gide.

Synopsis:

In this gripping novel, Saint-Exupéry tells about the brave men who piloted night mail planes from Patagonia, Chile, and Paraguay to Argentina in the early days of commercial aviation. Preface by André Gide. Translated by Stuart Gilbert.
