"This book is packed full of loveliness...all with Emily's unique blend of irreverent sweetness. Please be seated with smelling salts nearby: Fainting might occur. It's that good." Amy Karol, author of Bend-the-Rules Sewing and Bend-the-Rules with Fabric

I'll start this out by saying that I haven't bought this--yet. I'm saving up my coffee money to get it for myself for Christmas. I have, however, spent a lot of time gazing at this book whenever I happen to be in Powell's.

I've long admired the soft, gentle art style that is so indicative of Black Apple. Each character comes with their own quirky backstory for you to enjoy, along with tons of accessories, and even a companion or two. I'm also really fond of the backdrops she has included; I've never seen any other set of paper dolls come with so many extras and such attention to detail. I'm really excited about the section on designing your own dolls.
