This is one of the best investigative histories I've ever read. Every American who thinks we fought WWII to defeat Fascism will be rattled by the revelations in this book, of which there are many. Loftus served as an investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice, and so had access to information that no academic would have. He has also persisted over decades to dig out more.
