Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Joined this season in hardcover by its sequel, Bachelor Brothers' Bed & Breakfast Pillow Book, Bill Richardson's original best- seller now goes softback.

The brothers operate a bed & breakfast establishment at which people like them, "the gentle and bookish and ever so slightly confused", can feel at home. It's a refuge, a retreat, a haven, where the air is asteam with the promise of tea, where if it's not bathtime then it's probably bedtime.

BBB&B, whose initial Canadian printing was 4,000 copies has sold more than 50,000 copies and has won the Stephen Leacock Award for Humour. Its antic blend of homespun and intellectual humor is a place readers will want to return to again and again.

Synopsis:

This bestselling, award-winning novel--"a bibliophile's delight" ("Publishers Weekly")--tells of two brothers who operate a bed & breakfast establishment where the air is asteam with the promise of tea, where if it's not bathtime then it's probably bedtime. "A funny, cozy tale".--"Anniston Star".

Synopsis:

A pair of endearingly eccentric bachelors--in their fifties, and fraternal twins--own and operate a bed & breakfast establishment where people like them, the "gentle and bookish and ever so slightly confused," can feel at home. Hector and Virgil think of their B&B as a refuge, a retreat, a haven, where folks may bring their own books or peruse the brothers' own substantial library. An antic blend of homespun and intellectual humor, Bachelor Brothers' Bed and Breakfast is a place readers will want to return to again and again.
