Publisher Comments:

Recipe for disaster: Celebrity chef Stanley Chipotle comes to Trenton to participate in a barbecue cook-off and loses his head — literally.

Throw in some spice: Bail bonds office worker Lula is witness to the crime, and the only one she'll talk to is Trenton cop, Joe Morelli.

Pump up the heat: Chipotle's sponsor is offering a million-dollar reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the capture of the killers.

Stir the pot: Lula recruits bounty hunter Stephanie Plum to help her find the killers and collect the moolah.

Add a secret ingredient: Stephanie's Grandma Mazur. Enough said.

Bring to a boil: Can Stephanie hunt down two killers, a traitor, five skips, keep her grandmother out of the sauce, solve Ranger's problems and not jump his bones?

Warning: Habanero hot. So good you'll want seconds.

Review:

"Bestseller Evanovich recycles tired themes better executed in earlier adventures in her latest Stephanie Plum adventure (Fearless Fourteen, etc.). When Lula inadvertently witnesses the beheading of culinary TV star Stanley Chipotle in a Trenton, N.J., alley, Stephanie's on-again off-again boyfriend, cop Joe Morelli, reluctantly takes the case. Lula, with the help of Grandma Mazur, enters the same barbequing competition Chipotle was in town to promote, hoping to lure the murderers out of hiding. Meanwhile, Ranger has recruited Stephanie to help solve a series of break-ins at properties under the protection of Rangeman Security. The inevitable sparks fly between Stephanie and Ranger, with Morelli grumbling on the sidelines. Evanovich dishes up her usual mixture of shoot-'em-up action (numerous cars explode) and quirky characters (notably a neighborhood flasher with a devoted following), but the lackluster plot will disappoint fans. (June 23)" Publishers Weekly (Copyright Reed Business Information, Inc.)

Review:

"The question each summer is whether the new book delivers more or fewer laughs than is par. Finger Lickin' Fifteen delivers more, earning it a thumbs-up and a beach pass....Blissfully ignoring the far-fetched parts, I giggled throughout." Boston Globe

Review:

"Evanovich writes with flair in an absurdist vein that her imitators can only envy." Marilyn Stasio, The New York Times Book Review

Review:

"Don't get too invested in figuring out the crime wave that motivates a parade of transvestite jokes, diarrhea jokes and fart jokes, because Evanovich certainly doesn't." Kirkus Reviews

Review:

"Finger Lickin' Fifteen is pure Janet Evanovich. And who would have it otherwise?" BookReporter.com

And the saga of Stephanie Plum continues with this book. Ms. Evanovich finds cleaver fiascos for Stephanie and the supporting wacky characters I love were all there in all their glory. The tension between Ranger - Stephanie - and Morelli is steamy and I can't help but like both males for the qualities. Would definitely recommend this because it is laugh out loud funny.
