Synopses & ReviewsPublisher Comments:Buckminster Fuller, "the planet's friendly genius" and the master of many forms, recently turned to lithography to produce perhaps the most unusual book of his very unusual career, a book based on the story of Goldilocks and the three bears.
In 1930, when Fuller was studying Einstein and Eddington and first developing his ideas about the struture of the Universe and man's place in it, his young daughter Allegra asked to hear her favorite story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. In retelling the tale night after night, Bucky changed a few details and added some new material, using the characters to explain to his daughter how the universe worked. In his telling the fairy tale gradually became a cosmic seminar, with Goldie leading her three friends, the Polar Bear family, in a sky party teach-in somewhere in Universe, that "non-simulataneous scenario of omni-related events" in which Bucky Fuller has become quite comfortable. Fifty years later, he completed the story in 21 lithographs and an accompanying text in which Goldilocks expalins Bucky's ideas to the three bears. A lighthearted, Mozartian reprise of 50 years of thinking and building, Tetrascroll offers a playful overview of Bucky's philosophy, to charm the heats and delight the minds of Earthlings everywhere.
