When Regina’s friends insist on setting her up a “Fantasy Fix” to help her get over her cheating ex, she dreams up some kinky out-of-this-world encounters that they could never possibly bring to life. ONE BITE WITH A STRANGER

The Vampire Ball in Manhattan’s East Village isn’t really Dmitri Vidâme’s idea of a good time, but as a member of the Council that governs the Others, he has to keep an eye on all the young vamps who prey on the pretenders. After he feasts his dark eyes on fiery Regina at the bar, he knows that he must have her. But for the first time Dmitri meets a woman who is more than a match for his indomitable will. And he may be the fantasy Regina hoped for… until she—and her feisty friends—discover her sexy new lover’s bloodsucking secret…

“[A] sexy, engaging world…will leave you begging for more!”—New York Times bestselling author Cheyenne McCray

About the Author

New York Times bestseller CHRISTINE WARREN lives on the East Coast because landlocked states make her claustrophobic. Her only other fear is that she will one day run out of reading material, an eventuality she sought to prevent by taking up writing herself. She draws on her degree in literature and history, as well as on her vivid imagination, to tell stories she enjoys about people who entertain her. In doing this, she figures someone somewhere will eventually laugh at her jokes. Christine loves to hear from readers and can be reached at www.christinewarren.net.

Although I have absolutely loved all of the rest of the books in The Others series, I found this one irratating, degrading to women and just not up to the par of the rest of Warren's writing. It is obvious that she wrote this book first because her writing has vastly improved over time. I am disappointed that I spent the money on this one.

Yep. "One Bite With a Stranger" is the retitled version of "Fantasy Fix", an early title by Christine Warren (Ellora's Cave, 2003). For those of you who weren't willing to pay the $40 most sharks were charging for the few copies available, now you can just pick up this book and you'll have the same story.

Regina and her buds were drunk when they came up with 'Fantasy Fix'--where each of them puts their heads and acquaintances together in an effort to fulfill the fantasies of one of their number. Regina had managed to avoid being 'fixed' while she was with Greg, but now that he's been gone for six months, her friends decide it's her turn. In an effort to get even, she tries to make her fantasies impossible to fill...sex with the real Elvis, Bigfoot, an alien, or a vampire. Oh, and to be mastered! Did nobody ever tell Regina to be careful of what you ask for?

Dmitri is a member of the Council of Others, a very important and filthy rich vampire...and bored. Until he looks across the smoky bar and sees Regina. Unfortunately, it's been so long since Dmitri has had to put any effort into wooing, he makes a few mistakes (major understatement).

If you don't laugh while reading Dmitri and Regina's story...you need to see a shrink. And don't forget your chilled drink, this is a hot one!!!
