What a lovely book! I am no history buff, in fact, I skidded though history classes with Cs in high school, but I learned so much about World War II in this book, and it didn't feel like I was learning.. I was just a pleasure. It actually got me a lot more interested in the time period. I think historical fiction is my new favourite genre!
