Easily one of the best books I've ever read. No one approaches the complex interwoven issues surrounding personal pleasure, relationships, technology, violence, and nihilism in such a way. Provocative and never gratuitous, the sex scenes are some of the best ever put to paper, and all speak to a radically new way of envisioning our individual lives and the pleasure we can provide others, even if it's just one person, and the global effect that could have. Well worth a read. Or two or three.
