This book won a Pulitzer Prize in 1936, and it's still a wonderful read! Set in Oregon in the early 1900s, the plot is juicy and the characters are memorable. With wry humor and a descriptive style reminiscent of Mark Twain, this book is great fun to read. You'll wonder why you've never heard of it.
