i bought this book many years ago, whose title intrigued me, whilst on holiday in that part of the yenwited (yes, that's really how they speak!) yankee states known as florida. i really enjoyed reading it. a mind opening experience. sadly it was lost during one of my numerous flittings - house move to any non-scots. i would LOVE to read it again, especially an updated version. i would also like a version for us europeans, esp in britain. it may be somewhat outdated, but am certain much of it still resonates. if you haven't read it, please consider so doing.
