About the Author

Nicole Krauss was born in New York in 1974 and lives in Brooklyn. She has published in Esquire, the Paris Review, and Best American Short Stories. Called "one of the most impressive debuts of 2002" by Esquire, Man Walks Into a Room was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award.

This book engaged a very interesting idea of maintaing a mature brain while losing the majority of your memory. I found that the main character Samson was extremely likable, although you question why he finds no desire to relearn his adult past. It asks questions that would actually be asked in such a situation while still being a relatable story.
