This is not a review; I have read the book twice and can find no fault w/it. In fact, I cited it often in my own book on a similar war, half a world away -- in the NE corner of the Med. Sea following WW1, rather than WW2, wherein the contenders were Turks, French, USA, British, Arabs, Kurds, and Armenians, who fought a vicious guerrillla war for control/possession of Cilicia and vicinity in SE Asia MInor. The Title is _The tricolor over the Taurus: ...1918-1922_. And here is the rub: at least I had the courtesy to complete the title w/a description of the work's contents.
On the other hand, I have the commonn shopper's gripe re the title of David H.'s book, which fails to give the on-line shopper even a vague hint of the topic and genre of the work. Why can't publishers and sellers tack on a few words to indicate just what the shopper is buying.? After all, on-line shoppers are hardly in a position to open the book and flip thru a few pages to uncover the setting, genre, presence of index, footnotes, maps, etc.
