The ultimate vegetable cookbook: more than 800 recipes, with basic gardening information and shopping tips for non-gardeners. How to cook, deliciously, whatever you've plucked from the garden today or found fresh in the market — vegetables as accompaniments, main courses (including dishes that use meat, fish, and poultry), soups, appetizers, salads, breads, pies, and even cakes and cookies. A whole world of vegetable delight. The companion book to the long-running public television series.

I've had a copy of this book for years. It's a great resource for the backyard gardener. You will never wonder what to do with the results of your efforts. So many wonderful tips for shopping for produce in the market and what to do with it-cooking, storage, preserving, etc., and so many excellent recipes, tried and true.
