Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

The first in a new mystery series, "Death by Darjeeling" introduces Theodosia Browning, owner of the Indigo Tea Shop in Charleston. When Theodosia caters a tea for 200 at the annual historic homes garden party, she must track down the killer of an esteemed guest. Includes a recipe and tea-making tips.

Synopsis:

When a man is poisoned by tea, Theo is the prime suspect. Now she has to prove her innocence and track down the real killer-before someone else takes their last sip. Just the right blend of cozy fun and clever plotting.

A fun and playful read with highly enjoyable characters, a beautiful landscape, and interesting tidbits thrown in for good measure. Good for a relaxing afternoon. My only quibble is when she made a side note about different things environmental terrorists are willing to do to protect the land. She cited the method of putting metal stakes in trees to sabotage logging efforts as one example. Metal stakes haven't been used for years (decades?) due to metal detectors. Porcelain is preferred.
