Synopsis:

With the help of Simon the gooseboy, the escape the school and set out to free their home.

Joan Aiken is the author of some 90 books for young people and adults. She was recently named a Member of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.

I remember loving this book as a kid and it is still just as great. Even though I knew how it would end I was still on the edge of my seat until the last page.
