there is something about this series that just keeps you reading. perhaps it's the fullness and depth of the characters, the humor that each finds despite the cruel and often times goriness of their reality. the plot is intricate and well thought out and a lot of the unnecessary eye-glazing forensic geek-speak of the previous novel was left out. there was just enough to make it interesting but of course detailing every single hand and finger movement of ASL didn't help a non-signer to envision it any better. a good read with even a couple of LOL moments.
