Octavia works her magic on this series of novellas thath string together a vision of humans with altered abilities who feel drawn to seek a separate destiny for themselves and often lead/enslave followers in their wake.

This is a series of novelettes that show the progression of an alternate universe. All four stories are good but I felt the first, Wild Seed, was the best. I also thought the main characters in Clay's Ark, the doctor and his daughters, were very vibrant.
