Publisher Comments:

Annie Colewater's life fell apart the day her eighteen-year-old daughter left home and her husband of twenty years abandoned her for a younger woman. Shattered, she returns home to the small Washington town of Mystic, seeking solace to the haunting emptiness of her own soul. Here, a broken woman will open her heart to a shattered little girl and her father, Nick Delacroix, an embittered, grieving widower. These three lost hearts find the courage to trust in love again--never expecting the turn of events that will force Annie to make a harrowing choice between what is . . . and what could be.

Synopsis:

A woman troubled by the departure of her daughter and her husband seeks solace in her hometown of Mystic, Washington, and strikes up a relationship with an embittered, grieving widower and his shattered little girl. Reissue.

I didn't think this was possible but when I got to the end of this book, I had the incredible urge to turn to page one and start all over again. It's that good. I found this book by chance, and from the very first page, I was drawn into the story and all the wonderful characters; even the unfaithful husband was interesting.
"On Mystic Lake" was my first introduction to Kristin Hannah and made me a lifelong fan!
