Publisher Comments:

Cassandra Palmer can see the future and communicate with spirits—talents that make her attractive to the dead and the undead. The ghosts of the dead aren’t usually dangerous; they just like to talk…a lot.

The undead are another matter.

Like any sensible girl, Cassie tries to avoid vampires. But when the bloodsucking mafioso she escaped three years ago finds Cassie again with vengeance on his mind, she’s forced to turn to the vampire Senate for protection.

The undead senators won’t help her for nothing, and Cassie finds herself working with one of their most powerful members, a dangerously seductive master vampire—and the price he demands may be more than Cassie is willing to pay....

Cassandra is a clairvoyant who was raised by vampires after her family was murdered. Three years ago she ran away after having discovered that the vampire who she lived with killed her parents in order to gain possession of Cassie and use her powers for his own purposes. Since then she has been on the run, trying her best to avoid all contact with vamps, weres, mages and other supernatural beings.

This book started out very slow and had some pacing problems through out, but they got much better in the second half of the book. The writing was at times shaky, but for the most part good. The characters are flat out brilliant. I recommend it, just don't give up because of the wobbly start.

I haven't been able to find it yet, (grrr!) but everything I've heard/read leaves me chomping at the bit to get my hands on it!

It sounds like Ms. Chance's vampire novel(s) will be hot, sexy, and action-packed, right up there with Rachel Caine, Kim Harrison, and maybe even Laurell K. Hamilton!

The artwork is certainly first-rate, and tantalizing to boot!

I love to see women who can (and do) take care of themselves and others! If this book lives up to it's hype, I'll be up all night with its suspenseful machinations. Can't beat well-written "Literary Smut" (as I call it), either!

My favorite things are rooting for a heroine as she does her best to take care of business; be a good person; fix her mistakes; and stay out of trouble while getting her mind opened to whole new worlds she never knew existed!
Can't Wait!
