Publisher Comments:

Captain Harry Flashman's covert missions for Her Majesty's Secret Service have taken him all over the globe--Afghanistan, Borneo, Madagascar, Indian and China--but never before has he encountered so formidable a challenge and attempted to rise to it with such hilarious ineptitude as in his latest adventure.

Synopsis:

The tenth installment in The Flashman Papers finds Captain Harry Flashman of Her Majesty's Secret Service in the antebellum South, where the irrepressible, globe-trotting Victorian becomes the target of blackmailing beauties.

As usually, the Flashman’s book presents the sours of real historical information. The literal style of Flashman’s memorial demonstrates the humor, irony and the talents of the famous, original narrator and corrupter.
And I congratulate the Russian readers with the publishing of Flashman’s books in Russian.
